Quality Assurance Analyst II

Our QA experts root out and analyze bugs in our software. Our QA department is as passionate about ensuring our software is functional and reliable the same way most people are passionate about their most beloved sports team or favorite band.
Here's what the role entails...
- Researching and applying systems analysis techniques, including consulting with users, in order to develop an understanding of software specifications and functional, business and user requirements, including but not limited to how the product is actually used in the field.
- Performing manual and automated test execution, which includes defining and developing test objectives and test cases, based on and related to user or system design specifications.
- Verifying and reporting deficiencies to the Development department in a timely and accurate manner.
- Working with interdepartmental personnel in maintaining quality of product.
- Providing timely and accurate information to internal and external customers.
- Conducting stress and load tests of the product.
- Ad hoc reporting to management and company executives.

- Oral Communication - you need excellent communication skills, know how to communicate clearly and concisely
- Written Communication - top notch written skills required (and if you have technical writing experience, that will be a huge plus!)
- Time Management - manage your time wisely - work hard, and work smart
- Planning/Organizing - do you know how to plan well & juggle multiple projects from beginning to end?
- Adaptability - are you comfortable working in a constantly changing environment ? in our company, the only constant is change
- Research Skills - superb research skills required
- Math Skills - should be able to perform some basic math (no multivariable calculus involved)
- Problem Solving and Decision Making Skills - do you love analyzing data and problems and making decisions based on that data?
- Teamwork Skills - you must know how to collaborate well with others on a team
- System Administration Skills - do the words "troubleshooting, scripting, and computer maintenance" mean anything to you?
- Education/Experience - we require a High School degree or its equivalent; experience with Linux / *nix operating system troubleshooting, system administration, competent in a scripting language or programming language; exposure to quality assurance methods; experience working in web hosting environment
